F2, Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust

What programme are you doing? T&O, Cardiology, Haematology
Why did you pick this Trust? I picked this trust solely because I had heard great things about Severn and RUH from other trainees. The training programme is well structured and supportive. Bath being a wonderful city is definitely an added bonus.
What's the area like? RUH is a big DGH with lots of green spaces within its campus. Bath is vibrant and has something to offer for everyone. It's also very cyclist friendly
What's the best thing about your Trust? I think the Trust leads by example to uphold equality and diversity and this is reflected in its workforce. The staff is helpful, supportive and kind.
And the worst? The restaurant could be better and the mess needs an expansion too.
What advice would you give someone about to start in your Trust? Do not hesitate to ask for help if you're struggling. Make use of the pool!
What's the typical patient profile? Mostly Caucasian, loads of elderly and affluent patients.
Describe your job in one word Challenging.
